Free AI autocomplete for Windows
Text prediction for every app on Windows 10 and 11. Grey words appear at your cursor as you type; press Tab to take them. The AI runs on your own PC.
TypeBlink-Setup-x64.exe · Also for Mac and Ubuntu
More than word suggestions
Windows can suggest single words as you type. TypeBlink continues the whole sentence, in the app's own font, wherever there is a text box: email, chat, documents and the web. It also fixes typos as you go, and finishes half-typed words.
How it works on Windows
TypeBlink lives in the system tray. When you pause while typing, it reads the words before your cursor through Windows' accessibility interface, asks a language model running on your PC, and draws the rest in grey. Tab takes the next word (hold it to keep going), ` takes all of it, and Esc dismisses it. Windows needs no extra permission.
- Ctrl + ` asks for a suggestion where TypeBlink stays quiet, such as a terminal.
- Ctrl + Shift + ` pauses it in the current app for five minutes.
Private and offline
Your writing never leaves your PC. TypeBlink goes online only to download the model you choose and to check for updates, and after that it works with Wi-Fi off. Learning your style is optional, and what it learns is encrypted with a key kept in Windows Credential Manager.
Free, with nothing held back
Every feature is included: unlimited suggestions, typo fixes, per-app rules and instructions, your choice of model, and as many PCs as you like. Read more about free AI autocomplete, or see how TypeBlink compares with paid apps.

Windows questions
Is there a free AI autocomplete for Windows?
Yes. TypeBlink is free on Windows 10 and 11, with no account, no trial and no word limit. The AI runs on your PC, so nothing you type is sent to a server.
Does it work on Windows 10 and Windows 11?
Both, on 64-bit PCs. 8 GB of memory is recommended, and the standard model needs about 3 GB of disk space.
Why does Windows say “Windows protected your PC”?
The installer is not signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen asks before running it. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Does TypeBlink need administrator rights?
No. It installs for your user only. One limit comes from Windows itself: apps running as administrator are protected from other apps, so suggestions do not appear inside them.
Is Cotypist available for Windows?
Not as of October 2026: Cotypist's website lists it for Apple silicon Macs only. TypeBlink brings the same kind of inline AI autocomplete to Windows, for free.
Type less. Say more.
TypeBlink is free on Mac, Windows and Ubuntu. Set up takes about two minutes, most of it the model download.
